Oh I'm mad alright. Mad that I paid money to see this piece of shite.

But the complete brilliance of TWE makes up for it. It's really one of the most clever comedies I've seen in years, and knowing Hollywood and their widespread stealing of each other's ideas, (e.g. Capote vs Infamous, Wyatt Earp vs Tombstone, etc.) I just assume it happened here too. And it may have played a part. This movie seemed very slapped together.

We get it, you like The Worlds End

Theres a thread for that movie on the first page, post there

And if anyone "stole the idea" for the movie, it would be TWE, since again, there was a version of This is The End that was made in 2008 as a short film online.

The sad thing is that it wasn't. They shopped the script around for quite a while before getting someone to bite on it. And all they could turn out was a bunch of ad libbed lines and a skeleton of a plot.

Truly, the movie was funny, but it played like a bunch of semi-related sketches rather than a coherent movie. And don't give me this "it's a comedy!" crap. All good movies, regardless of genre, include a solid plot line. This one didn't have one. While it was good for some laughs, it wasn't a good movie.

But people don't want to hear that. They want to believe that they can't possibly have laughed at a mediocre movie or that the movie, by making them laugh, was consequently not mediocre. But whatever.

Not true. I can like stupid movies for their good moments, even ones by these guys. Your Highness was stupid but I still thought it was funny. This had a couple of moments, but not enough to redeem it, IMO.
