I'm halfway through. It's not awesome and seems to try too hard, but it's not that terrible. Hard to duplicate the first

Yep

Edit: if you got an arse like the North Star the wise men are going to follow it.

I have yet to see it. But now that it's on Netflix, I'll have a chance to watch it

If they had ended it before he went to the lighthouse it might have been funnier than the first one. I thought the first about hour was hilarious. Seeing what each guy was up to and the transition from network news to 24 hour news was brilliant satire. But the lighthouse bit and the ending scene were so unbelievably stupid it was tough to watch.

Didn't care for the first one but at least they tried and succeeded in places. The sequel is a pile of steaming dog crap. Everyone associated with that movie should be suspended from making movies for five years.

I seriously turned the movie off when it just had a couple minutes left. Was just tired of it. He started wrestling a shark and that was my cue to leave.

Well to be fair, the first one ended with them boxing Kodiak Bears

In general, I hate sequels to really well done movies. They always seem to come up short. I'm avoiding Dumb & Dumber To for that sole reason.

It's sequels to comedies where they really screw up. They try to rehash the same jokes and recreate the same feeling, and it just comes out as stale.

I dunno. With a sequel, I kind of want and expect more of the same. That's the point, at least for a comedy. But like with anchorman 2, it just didn't have the same feel. Felt just like a spoof, like Scary Movie in a news setting.
