Wow, I've watched a few videos on YouTube regarding this guy and decided to give this movie a shot. Boy has it scared means what the gov't is capable of. How much of this movie is actually true? I haven't watched any other Oliver stone movies other than JFK which was also way out there.
I thoroughly enjoyed it. My only issue was the over the top voice JGL thought he had to use. At the end when Snowden is giving the live stream interview where it swaps from JGL to the real Snowden, you could definitely tell the voice difference.

As long as you realize that the people who crafted and paid for the movie are horribly biased in one direction, and you take every scene with a grain of salt.
And Stone's JFK was fantasy time bullshite that made for an entertaining movie.

I love JGL and I work in cyber defense so I just knew I was going to like this movie.
The wife and I didn't make it through 45 minutes before we turned it off. Terribly boring and as someone else mentioned, JGL's voice was annoying as frick.

With Oliver Stone there's no telling. And I'm not going to watch it, the trailer looked awful. A badly sensationalized Oliver Stone version doesn't interest me. But it is a very important issue and I'm glad Snowden exposed what is going on. It's a terrible idea for the US government to spy on citizens to this extent because it is certain to be abused.

Except it's unconstitutional. But when has the constitution ever been a concern of the government.
