It's all personal preference. I have had every person on planet earth tell me that Breaking Bad would revolutionize my life. I'm in season 3 right now and am loving it. It does not cross over the genre thresholds for me though. I also love Game of Thrones and Walking Dead. None of these shows has anything in common with the other though, so I don't measure them against eachother.

As far as shows about high school chemistry teachers that develop lung cancer and subsequently start selling drugs to pay for the cost of treatment, Breaking Bad is the tops. As far as apocalyptic shows dealing with a massive outbreak causing zombies to try to eat you (sometimes people too) I love me some Walking Dead. Dragon and boobs, GoT. I swear, comparing movies and tv shows is getting as bad as MJ vs LeBron

And FWIW, I agree.

I have seen every episode of TWD just for some cheesy/cheap entertainment. The acting and directing is so bad at times that it's almost laughable.

TWD isn't great theater, but it's fun. It's like a guilty pleasure for me, along with Justified.
