I've been under the weather starting Saturday and decided to say "eff it, I'm taking off a few days." I rarely take sick days or treat myself, and am doing it. I want to see a few movies during this time. What looks good? What have you seen? Any recommendations on the following?

Monkey Man
Godzilla x Kong
The First Omen
Dune - Pt. 2
Immaculate
Land of Saints and Sinners

I don't go to the theatre anymore because of all the sick people in there coughing

I don't blame you, and I'd stay away from me. It shouldn't be too crowded on a M,T,W.

No matter what you will get to see 10 movies in the 30+ minutes of previews/ads/trailers/ads/ads/more ads

Enjoy your super spreader self.

Theaters are the bestest place for being sick.

Maybe go bowling after? And treat yourself to a Golden Corral buffet.

Please mask up if you go to a theatre.

It wasn't good. Obviously it's a prequel to the original 1976 film and 2006 remake.

SPOILERS:

They retconned the birth of Damien by making his mother a human woman instead of a jackal. His mother was raped by Satan in the form of a jackal. He also has a sister, who is hinted to be the anti-Anti-Christ.

We recently watched 'love, lies bleeding' and 'Late Night with the Devil.' Both were very entertaining.

I liked First Omen. I was expecting a cash grab on an old IP. I saw that the reviews were pretty good so I checked it out. Doesn’t hold back with the gore. It’s not a classic or anything, but if you take away The Omen connection, this is a legit, disturbing, decent horror movie.

Just saw the new Ghostbusters. It was a good/decent movie but not a great movie. CGI for the big bad was not very good.

Get up early, got to a first showing matinee maybe only 5 other people in the theater if its not a super popular opening weekend movie. Go watch two movies for one. Everyone thinks you have to buy another ticket but you don't. That's what a matinee is and why they move ticket takers to the door instead of the hall to the theaters. Get your monies worth

Late night with the devil was terrific. If your theater is showing that, check it out!

We went to “someone like you” last night. It’s a Christian Karen Kingsbury last night.

3 cheesy Christian previews that started 5 minutes before the movie and then it kicked off right on time.

I watched it yesterday afternoon and I disagree. I thought it was well done. I didn't "get it" until the very end. One of the better scary movies I've seen in a while.
