In-laws are keeping the youngin' so think I will make a trip to the movies. Which one should I go with? Or should I just do both?

Box office numbers and general reaction from audience says otherwise.

To the OP, you really can't go wrong with either one. It's just a matter of what genre you're in the mood for.

Not a very good argument for whether a movie is good or not. Transformers was the second highest gross movie in 2009. Doesn't mean it doesn't suck.

Yeah, movies like Transformers and IM3 are exceptions to the rule IMO.

Anyway, Man of Steel is a great movie. Critics were way off on this one.

Haven't seen it yet. Definitely plan on it. I hate absolutely zero interest in it until reading the fan reaction on this board.

It is an unbiased opinion. Love of the character makes one harder to please with new material if anything. I love Superman and I though Superman Returns was awful. Is that biased? To the OP, MOS is a very good movie, visually stunning, and its got heart and loads of action. Does it have weaknesses, sure...but it still delivered massively IMO.
