I don't think it deserves nearly the hate that it gets.

Nope. The movie deserves MORE hatred.

I have no problem with aliens. If it is ok to bring the holy spirit into the mix then aliens are not such a huge leap.

I do have a problem with allegedly friendly aliens creating a movie ending village destruction that makes absolutely no sense.

I have about 100 problems with the directing. Magnetism in one scene, not in the next. Soldiers straining against the magnetism yet the person next to them having no problem. Daylight in one scene immediately followed by night then back to day. I recall a site listing over 100 sloppy and I mean really sloppy movie mistakes.

Back to those friendly aliens who set it up so their ship would destroy the village next to them. Lets talk about them killing the person nice enough to return the alien head.

I'm not like most people here. I won't go into the 1000 foot fall over 3 waterfalls. No need to bring that up since I didn't mind Indy jumping out of a plane on a raft.

I will however point out the Atomic Refrigerator. That was just about as dumb as anything ever written by a Once Legendary Director.

Back to the alien temple, the puzzle to get in drove John Hurt insane and then took Indy 3 minutes to crack.

I don't even mind the 3 minutes if the puzzle was some super duper complex puzzle. I think a 12 year old kid could have figured it out. Maybe not in 3 minutes but they wouldn't be driven insane by a puzzle that would have been easy to figure out 25 years ago in Myst.

Acting.....really bad. Some grade A crap acting to go with the terrible direction.

Yes, in the past movie there were implausible stunts but nothing and I repeat NOTHING as embarrassing as the George of the Jungle swing vine monkey shitfest.

This movie was horrible. Hey, if you enjoyed it, more power to you. You love every pile of crap out there so you always get your moneys worth.

Not the worst movie ever but easily the worst crap that Speilberg & Lucas created.

Sure Lucas showed how weak he could be with the prequels but I didn't know Speilberg would allow his name on something so horrible.

Even with the prequels I was surprised by how far Lucas has fallen.

Interdimensional beings are just as believable as a knight sitting around for 700 years in a cave, flaming hearts, and the ark to me. The monkeys, the speed racer tree cutters, the flying fridge, and the sword fight did distract, but not enough to make it unwatchable. It certainly is not as good as TOD though, and anyone who dislikes TOD is a whiny bitch.

This, it did not deserve the hate it received. Frankly, it was as "realistic" as any of the other 3 movies, which is to say none of them were very realistic. People are clueless.

Starting with you. This movie was far more over the top than any of the other films. It had a worse plot than the other 3. It had worse acting than the other 3 and it was poorly directed.

You truly are the clueless one if you can't see the difference.

It really was surprising just how phoned in the performances by Harrison Ford and Karen Allen were. Cate Blanchett was completely wasted. Ray Winstone's character was horribly written and the most obvious traitor ever. If they wanted us to be shocked, using Sallah would have been much better. Then again, it also would have been better for John Hurt's character to be Sallah as well. Perhaps they should have combined those two characters somehow.

Also, a lot of the CG looked like complete shite. The lighting was awful and made it incredibly easy to tell just how much of the movie was shot on a green screen.

frick those assholes for straight lying about going back to practical effects for the movie.
