My younger cousin always had to watch New Zoo Revue, and God I hated every second of it.

And not a little bit.

If you throw in the Super Friends before those, you had yourself an awesome Saturday morning. My kids have no idea what Saturday mornings meant to us growing up with only 3-5 channels (pre-cable vision).

We all must be the "middle-agers" here.

The 70s were a golden age for Saturday morning TV. I would be glued to the TV set all morning long. Plus, growing up in the South, when the cartoons and shows were done it would be time for pro wrasslin'.

I'm amazed I didn't develop bed sores from sitting in front of the TV as long as I used too.

Add Land of the Lost
Man that show had a lot of complicated sci-fi going on for a kid show. That was some wild stuff for a Saturday morning.

You mean Mid South Wrestling

quote:

Grizzly Smith!

Don't remember him.

Remember Junkyard (Stagger Lee) and Ernie along with Afa & Sica, Mr. Kabuki, Iron Sheik, Ted D, Dusty Rhodes, Rick Flair, The Von Erich family, Precious Paul, Randy Savage, Jake the Snake, Dick Murdoch.

Ha! I originally typed Mid South but second guessed myself.

Remember Kamala the Ugandan Giant? Midnight Express?

This was pre WWF and the crowd always seemed to be no more than about 30 people.

Good times watching with my Paw Paw.
