The Roseanne ending just said the last season was a dream, not the whole show. The last season was really bad though.

The Dinosaurs finale was some hippy environmentalist crap about how the dinosaur guy caused the ice age and made them all go extinct.

Oh yeah! That ending was depressing as shite! Sinclair created the ice age that killed all dinosaurs!

that's right! i remember now. which is funny b/c it's not like we don't know they all died off.

kinda like titanic. but still it shows that we cared about a bunch of overgrown puppets.

The Dinosaurs finale was dark shite if you think about it. Hey, let's kill every single character you liked in this fluffy comedy. Jesus.

Seinfeld was awful as it was a total betrayal of the ethos of the show. A show about nothing with no lessons learned has a finale in which the main characters are forced to confront how awful they all are. It was cheap moralizing and gave the show an out for being as mean as it was. See? They all got punished! It's okay!

Night Court. Really disappointing end to a great, bizarre show.

Buffy. Looking back on it, despite some of the late classic episodes in S6, the show should've stayed dead after Season 5. We would've lost Once More With Feeling, but we would've been spared the frankly pretty hokey ending. And Anya deserved a better ending. So did Xander, though his problems extended way before the final episode.

Oz. The whole final season was an epic disaster, but the final episode was especially terrible. A sad end to a great show.

Mad About You. If only because at this point in her career, Helen Hunt was completely incapable of acting like a human being any person could tolerate, much less love.

Saw that episode for the first time this summer, while I was never a big fan of the show, I thought that was a unique ending. Dan was dead, they didn't win the lottery & her other daughter was the one that married the dumb arse, not Becky.

I've never understood the hate for this. How else was Larry going to end it? What could he have possibly done that would have put a solid period on the shows sentence?

Exactly. There was so much hype surrounding it that it could never live up to peoples expectations.

Kind of my point. the only good part is that Bol gets abducted by aliens.

Mad About You

It's set 20 years in the future and Mabel has made a student film about her neurotic, and separated parents. She arranges things for the two to rekindle the spark and fall back in love. It was an ambitious episode and not a bad idea... it's just that I really really REALLY hated Helen Hunt by this point in her career.

Finale of 24 didn't really live up to it's potential in my opinion, 8 great seasons and it was one of the worst finales in all of the seasons.

24 wasn't a true series finale because they expected the story to continue in film form so they didn't write it like a typical series finale in which you know the show is over. In saying that, it was still weak.

I don't get the hate for the Lost finale. Thought it was great and they captured the emotion of the series in the last 10 minutes beautifully.

I think The Wire series finale was a bit weak. It wasn't bad, but compared to the rest of the series quite forgettable.

while all very disappointing, very true to life... No?

His dad was a heavy drinker and smoker (I think) who was always stressed out.

Wayne was certainly no brainiac

People very seldomly marry their child hood sweetheart

exactly, it's why i liked it. i hated to hear about his dad but that kinda stuff happens in life. and with winnie, how many of us go thru a certain period in life thinking we've found the love of our lives and we'll be with this person forever only to not have it happen that way? especially at his age during the show.

i think it was perfect.

Winnie was a bitch, Kevin was better off without her.

Quantum Leap immediately comes to mind with this topic by far...

Mad about you was awful, but that show should of been canned long before the finale.

Roseanne of course...

X-Files, this one should of been done long before the end too...

30 Rock.

It was all a story passed down by Liz to her granddaughter and Kenneth the President of NBC imagined the story in a snow globe of 30 Rock inside?

Millennium hands down. The whole show built up to a big event in 2000 then gets cancelled going into 2000. Even worse Cris Carter (who directed both the X-Files & Millennium) tried to tie up Millennium in a horrible X-Files episodes with get this Zombies..arghhh
