She was involved with Stephen Bishop, but whether that relationship started on the set of Animal House, or was before or after - I'm not sure.
She started with Lee Stasberg in 1977 - Landis wanted to fill out the cast of Animal House with unknowns, so he found Allen and Bacon (Circle in the Square Theater School) in the local theaters of NYC. Another tidbit, like many HS/College comedies - particularly of that era - the actors were way older than their characters would have been, generally - mostly late 20s/early 30s in Animal House - Bacon was one of the rare age-appropriate, being 19 or so when Animal House was filmed.

I like Bill Murray too much and dislike Chevy Chase too much to pick Christmas Vacation over Scrooged, although I do enjoy Christmas Vacation.
