In fairness, at the time NY really was a hellhole so it wasn't a stretch to imagine that 20 years later it would just be a giant prison.

They did a great job fixing themselves.

An HBO staple during the early-mid 80's. Very underrated movie.

Very almost realistic look at the whole subliminal advertising and digitizing people and just using the template over and over.

And the light gun was badass.

Glad someone remembered that one, and for the record I would watch Escape if it was on right now. Carpenter knew how to make movies (and scores).
