Ian MacKellan claimed that Fraser was a much better movie actor than he was. What he was saying is that Fraser really could work with green screen and later added digital effects.
I get the feeling Fraser just wasn't all that interested in making good movies. This was his job, he got paid a ton of money for it, and he made a nice career for himself. People all seem to like him and working with him, but he largely disappeared after making about a gazllion dollars for the Mummy movies. He really does just seem like a working Joe who knows he got lucky as hell, but now he'd rather hang out with his family. He cashed out his lottery ticket.

What do yall think would happen if a huge Outsiders style rumble broke out between this boarding school and the one in Toy Soldiers?
- I think it's pretty clear that Fraser wrecks anyone's shite on either side, but the toy Soldiers have an AC Slater and a black dude. The black dude has glasses but still...
- The pivotal matchup is clearly Matt Damon vs Sean Astin. Damon is a proven lead blocker so we know he's tough but Astin is way more battle tested and crafty (want some scope, Matt?). In the end, just too much heart from Astin/Billy. Oh you have a crib sheet (whatever a crib sheet is), I've got pots and pans.
-Will Wheaton is the son of a mafia don and is willing to die for the cause so deal with that affleck.
-Keith Coogan takes out googly eyes in a babysitting rematch.
- Wild card - the remote control airplane. Could you imagine how freaked the 1960s gentiles would be?
-And if things get dirty, you know the toy Soldiers aren't afraid to get dirty

But Fraser's private school jewish character would destroy the entire Toy Soldier clan with ease. He's headbutt that damn toy airplane and break it over his knee.

Very solid movie.
One of those that I just can't turn off whenever I run across it.

And totally underrated is the old cop from Law and Order as the mafia don, not to mention Chappy Sinclair as the dean of students

You probably think the British teacher who teaches outside should be referred to as some Indiana Jones crap instead of rightfully as Winthorpe's butler.

Amy Locane was a smokeshow. She was quintessential 1990s hot. But, she also ended up being a bitch as much as Damon and Affleck were pricks.
She was horrible. She essentially got mad at him because SHE was the bigot.

that's a close one but i probably would lean towards marcus brody.

Terrible
You think bilj would be the leader of the revolt at his prep school like Billy tepper? And instead of saying his dad was a construction worker when he actually owned a huge construction firm, Bilj would say "my dad makes sandwiches" or "he bbqs."
