Scandal, Good Wife, Suits. What else?

So the wife and I are trying to find a new serious because we are caught up on all of these. Scandal I have to say is a pretty good little show. Good Wife is still going strong in season seven. Suits? Need I say anything?
But what other kind of continuing stories should I watch?
Obviously we have done the whole Breaking Bad, Lost, BG, Wire, Castle, Mentalist, and heck I don't know what I am missing at this point.
We have seen three episodes of Leftovers, but seriously hasn't done anything yet. Tried the knick, but she hates any kinda of period piece for the most part.
Suggestions would be great.
How bout Once Upon a Time?
We saw season one, and loved it. Beginning of season two seemed a bit weak, but we may have to get back into it.
Additional shows we have seen are...

This may sound lame, but Jane the Virgin is an awesome show to watch with the wife.
I started out watching to make her happy, but the writing is awesome, and I find it to be one the most consistently funny but also heartfelt shows on TV right now.
Not sure it's the style of a lot of people on this board, but for anyone that liked other CW shows like Felicity, Dawson's Creek, Veronica Mars, or The OC, Jane is a great one to check out
Also, The Grinder is hilarious.
Not sure if I've seen any threads on either of those, but I may start one at some point.

going to try to avoid half hour sitcoms for the most part.

Second vote for Chuck.
And OP, I know you said you'd like to avoid 30 minute sitcoms, but if you haven't watched Scrubs, it is simply a must watch.
It has well over 150 episodes so there is no risk of running through it too quickly.
It's one of the best series of all time, and I think most on the board hold it in very high regard.
