He is very overrated. His best role was The Godfather where he was required to say very little and be expressionless most of the time.

Fun Fact: The hot naked blonde with Manny (when he got the call from Tony after the assassination attempt at the Babylon Club) was 46 years old.

Can't believe all of the hate for this movie. Sounds like a lot of people had no idea what Miami was like in the early eighties. Watch a documentary. Over the top money, bloody violence, and cocaine were the norm. A movie had to be over the top to properly portray it. It was an exciting movie about the real life bastardization of the American dream. And Michelle's tits were nice and perky and she was at her hottest. Manolo was absolutely hilarious throughout and that role probably got him (Steven Bauer) the Don Eladio role in Breaking Bad.

That line and look at the pelicans... who'd ever think those two lines would stay in my head and used in my random daily nonsense self-talking.

Unlike say hello to my little friend... overused.

yup.

The movie was excess because Miami at that time was excess. No money laundering laws either.

After doing some research I now know she was one of the mud wrestlers in Stripes (the one with the big tits) and she also showed off the merchandise in some movie called Into the Night which also featured some side shots of a nude Pfeiffer.

I read the movie was shot in Los Angeles because so many people were upset with the drug scene in Miami at the time that the crew kept getting kicked out of places. They were forced to live filming to Cali.
