I'm surprised critics haven't railroaded it for the same reasons they railroaded The Iron Fist.

This movie was destined for failure from the start. The choice of Johansson as the Major was an awful choice. The story itself is a complete deviation from the original movie's premise.
I hope it bombs and bombs hard.

ScarJo used to actually act in movies before she started her run of Marvel flicks. Seems like she signs up for garbage in between those these days.

It never had a shot going up against the plot or inimitable cyberpunk aesthetic of the original, but I heard they reeeeeally butchered the story. Said it's robocop with Scarlett Johansson. That being said, I will still go see it given my infatuation with GITS and cyberpunk in general

Huh, every critic I've heard has disliked it because 1. It's boring 2. Unoriginal 3. Poorly designed
I thought Daredevil season 1 was insulting atrocious and people loved that so I can only imagine how bad this must be.

I thought Under the Skin was awesome. She's done some great voice work: Jungle Book and Her. And she's a lead voice in the coming Wes Anderson animated flick.

Stupid mainstream American audiences can't handle weird anime plots. Death Note will be the same way. At least the Jojo movie has potential to be good.

Pretty much every review is great visuals but lackluster story. I don't see how you can make a good Ghost in the Shell movie with a PG-13 rating. I don't understand why they haven't done a Cowboy Bebop movie yet. It was made for American audiences.
