Been so long since I last saw him, I'd have thought he was older.

That was terrible. But gotta blame the director more than the actor.
Some think of Love Story but Paper Moon is what came to my mind first.

In all honesty, the only movie I have seen of his was A Bridge Too Far.

Actually a movie I own. Crazy all-star cast.

Barry Lyndon is a masterpiece, though not necessarily because of Ryan O'Neal. He's fine in it though.

Paper Moon was an incredibly good movie. He had a lot to do with that.

First thing I always think of when I see his name.
He was tremendously miscast, but it also kind of works.

A few years ago when it was made public he had cancer, Ali McGraw phoned him and said, "Did you catch it from me?"

Love Story trivia: who was the young unknown actor who came very, very close to being cast as Oliver, until Robert Evans insisted on RO?
Christopher Walken

Ironically, Ali MacGraw is two years older and still alive.

Guy was an enormous scumbag who hit on his own daughter at a funeral. It's pretty bad that he's known for his shenanigans in his personal life than his professional career which isn't much to write home about outside of Barry Lyndon and Love Story.

It took seeing him in that role on the frame for me to guess it on framed.
Good, forgotten movie.

I’ve never seen that movie before, but damn, that’s terrible.

I first saw him in the TV show Payton Place when I was in high school in the 60s. So handsome. RIP

quote:Tatum O'Neal is so great in it. She and the young black actress P.J. Johnson are funniest part of the movie.

Madeline Kahn is great as Miss Trixie.
The interactions between the O'Neal's makes the movie great.
