Dead at 87.

One of my favorite actors ever. From Little House on the Prairie to Roots to Officer and a Gentleman, he was almost always the best actor in the scene.

Along with M. Emmett Walsh, this has been a bad week for me as far as losing actors.

He was a good one. Did the last few interviews from a wheelchair, IIRC.

Him calling Richard Gere MAYO-naise in that movie always cracked me up. RIP

Diggstown is an underrated masterpiece.

If you ever need motivation, watch Roy plow through the lineup.

Greatest portrayal ever of a Marine DI by someone who hadn’t actually BEEN a Marine DI.

RIP Gunny Foley.
