That's not a bad analogy. "yeah, they make some good music and Maynard has incredible technical skill, but, I'm not like..."

The one video with the kid jumping on the counter and then rolling on the floor yelling pickle rick might be the cringey-ist moment in internet history

The people in that video are how I picture most of reddit.

An original unopened sauce packet from 1998 sold for 15k earlier this year.

And check out this fricking hipster who paid godknows how much so he could go and show off his prized possession:

It's 2017 and I don't even know what to call the people I hate anymore.

Yeah, America is a real shitty place... where you can freely buy or sell McDonald's szechuan sauce for $15,000, oppressed my arse.

The subreddit r/iamverysmart may as well be retitled r/rickandmortyfans

I love the show but it is sad how many of its fans seem to take to heart the backwards arse notion that being an a-hole is a sign of superior intelligence

I watched some of the first season and liked most of it. I thought mr meeseeks was annoying and nearly turned it off. Maybe I am just not on this superior fedora IQ level. Still plan to finish it, I hope I can understand comedy with my simpleton mind.

You don’t have to be smart to understand the show. It’s mostly based off pop culture shite with some science they baby feed to you. They do have some fun and seemingly original plot lines which is what I enjoy about the show.

You're right, but it is exposing impressionable youth to philosophical concepts that they most likely had not yet considered, so it makes them feel smart, even thought they don't get what they're being exposed to.

I get that it’s a popular show but this an example of when fandom becomes scary.

I've been told by a lot of people how great this show is, and I've been meaning to watch it, but this whole thing makes me not want to watch at all.

It's overrated while being an extremely good show. Really goes to show how retarded the fandom has become

I'd still watch it. I honestly had no idea how stupidly popular this show was until I looked up to see if they were making season 4.

Yeah I like shows like Bobs Burgers and Futurama so I've been told I would like this. But this whole internet subculture fandom is pretty annoying so it kinda makes me want to not associate with it

Maybe this is how people that don't watch Game of Thrones feel.

These kids weren't even born when Mulan was out. He doesn't even know if it's good or not.

A couple of nights ago, I watched the first 2 episodes to see what all the fuss was about. It was funny, and I plan to continue. I believe someone mentioned the Szechuan sauce thing is in season 2. Would it be easy to explain why this sauce is such a big thing that these losers are going nuts over it? Is it a theme of the show, or was it barely mentioned?
