Inspired by the music board tv series soundtracks post.
I remember really liking Season 1 and 2 but I lost interest in season 3 for whatever reason. I’m gonna give it another go.
It seems very relevant today maybe even more so.
Do you think Mr. Robot Tried To Warn Us of Our Societal Vulnerabilities and Cybersecurity?
Elliot quote-
“Oh, I don’t know. Is it that we collectively thought that Steve Jobs was a great man even when we knew he made billions off the backs of children? Or maybe it’s that it feels that all of our heroes are counterfeit. The world itself is just one big hoax. Spamming each other with our burning commentary bullshite, masquerading as insight. Our social media faking as intimacy. Or is it that we voted for this; not with our rigged elections, but with our things, our property, our money. I’m not saying anything new, we all know why we do this. Not because Hunger Games books make us happy, but because we want to be sedated, because it’s painful not to pretend, because we’re cowards. Fvck society!”

Top 5 show for me. Especially season 1.

I was a big fan of the music in the series.
They used several M83 songs throughout the series, including Outro for the final scenes.

I really liked S1. I think I was likling S2 as well, but I didn't keep up and then it got more and more confusing. I did watch them all finally, but I'm not really sure wtf I watched anymore
I think I need to do a rewatch at some point and do it binge style.

Mr. Robot is honestly one of the best shows for dudes that really know computers and technology.
So many shows just say stupid shite and try to pass it off.
Robot to me is Fight Club, Leftovers, etc. And I said that before. Perhaps some people get that?!?

Capitalist networks selling anti-capitalist series is…. Not serious, not good.

I started season 1 but stopped watching because I felt like the whole thing was a drug/mental illness state. I can't do a multiple season show with that stuff. Bad enough when shows do multi episode arcs on it

Well, the narrator is not mentally sound, and that is kinda the main theme of the show, and what makes it so awesome.

Finally made it to season 1 episode 7
Shayla quote “don’tcha just love hearing your favorite song performed live”.
Yes it’s one of the best feelings ever. Emotional and Transformative
Shayla Flashback is one of the best scenes

I stopped watching in S2 because I got tired of it. I didn't get to see the big reveal but I told a friend what I thought the twist was and he laughed and said I was right

Bumping this because found it on Prime this week having never seen it before. I began watching without realizing it was a series and not a movie (I recognize I live under a rock). Really enjoyed the first episode so I was pumped for more. The second episode was not quite as good but still pretty good overall. I turned off the third during the buttfricken. I’m a homophobe or whatever. What does the show gain from showing some dude getting railed by another dude? Tell me they’re gay or whatever… I mean even in the first episode the sex was insinuated between the lead(Elliott) and his drug dealer, not live action. I’m old and a homophobe I guess but there’s no way I’m watching more of that crap.

He did it to hack that guys laptop I think. Or steal his key card. Was meant to show the lengths he would go to achieve his goals.

Thanks for the clarification, just not my cup of tea.
