Loved that movie. Haven't seen it in a while though. Christian Bale is in it too right?

I absolutely LOVE this movie.

And you're not the third person I know (outside of me and my buddy) who actually saw it in theaters.

I thought it was really, really well done, and is easily one of, if not the best movies with dragons in it ever made.

100% agree.

I thought it was fricking awesome. But I remember after I saw it, pretty much no one knew what it was or had seen it.

Maybe it was ahead of it's time. Even just watching it the CGI is not dated at all.

And yeah, MM is fricking awesome in it. So is Gerard Butler.

was certainly good enough to warrant a mediocre video game. No wonder the game cube failed.

So is Bale. It's pretty solid acting for the most part, even though MM is a bit over the top (but that was the point).

Agreed. I know sometimes people bitch about "not enough dragon" and I don't disagree completely, but I think one thing that makes it so good is that the dragons (and CGI) are limited and it's more about their presence in the world than anything else. Plus, with the limited use of them, they could focus on making them look legit when they were on screen.

And having the movie so dark (which I like and dislike) helps mask the dragons as well.

It was a cool idea and had future stars in it giving great performances. I'm surprised it didn't get more love.

Agree. The dragon scenes and really the entire movie was well produced. One of my favorite fantasy/action films/ whatever genre it is.

They thought it would end the dragons food supply, they didn't know that they ate ash at the time.
