Not sure if on Netflix but, Firefly. Best way to describe it is a sci-fi western. Made by Joss Whedon

Friday Night Lights is one of my all time favorites.

Arrow imo is the 2nd best show on TV right now, but there is only one season on Netflix right now.

I'd advise against Sons of Anarchy unless you like repetitive, lazy writing.
This. I really liked the first few seasons, then it got old.

Firefly is a good choice. I've been meaning to watch it again. Plus, if you're in to that sort of things, there's a young Christina Hendricks not wearing a lot of clothes.

Side note: It drives me nuts that my wife watches that dumb Castle show and talks about how good Nathan Fillion is in it, but she won't check out Firefly. She's not opposed to sci-fi stuff, I've made her a fan of Doctor Who.

There is only one season right now, but I think you have to watch season 1 before you watch season 2, and season 2 is as must see tv as it gets. Plus season 1 is still pretty good with him putting arrows in folks left and right. And the season 1 season finale is pretty darn good especially with the way it ends (I won't go into it since I don't want to spoil it for anyone).

bite the bullet and watch some movie she wants you to watch that you have been resisting in exchange for her starting Firefly.

Yal really like this show that much? Granted I only watched pieces of 1-2 episodes and the previews, but it looks like the dumbest show ever.

Should I give it another shot?

What else have you got to watch this summer?

If you do watch it, watch the whole 1st season. Some people thought the 1st half of the 1st season was a little loopy (although I thought it was still pretty good). But the showrunners are some of the best in the business right now. Once they caught traction in season 1, they were off to the races. But keep in mind that it is still based off of a comic book character, although it's a pretty gritty take on that character.

You know, she's got good taste. (That's why we're married) For example she's really looking forward to seeing Godzilla this weekend. I'm trying to think if there's been anything she was gung ho to see that I had no interest in and pretty much drawing a blank.
