Everyone was great at what they did. Gus was probably one of the best on screen villains of all time. The mental chess matches between him and Walter made some of the best tv of all time.

And Jane was way too hot for Jesse to begin with.

This is probably the best plan Walt ever had.

I've been watching the replays as well. Have really been impressed with the show.
I have loved when Walt goes from geek to bad arse. During the show I wonder what would happen if Walt would just go true dark side and try to become a true kingpin. Forget about Jesse, move the wife and kids away and just go dark side.
At the same time I like how he kind of knows he's the only person looking out for Jesse.

Gus- true mastermind and ruthless

Hank- I think Hank is limited smart. He's like a bulldog. Once he takes a bite he doesn't let go. I don't think it was his smarts that put him on Gus, I think it was his belief he was right.

Jesse- Lost soul looking for something to belong to or believe in.

Mike- true tough guy. But either doubts his abilities or just no ambition.

As I continue to watch the show I am sure my views on the characters will change.

Yeah. The Lilly of the Valley plant at Walt's place was a hell of a reveal. It must have been awesome seeing that at the very end of a season on the show's first go-round.
