Entire History of You and Hated In The Nation are probably my 2 favorites
San Junipero was very good though I wish it would've ended differently
Nosedive was awesome for the first 3/4
The twist in Shut Up and Dance got me. Meh episode
15 million merits sucked
White Bear ending sucked
No interest in the military one or the Waldo moment

Need to watch White Christmas and Be Right Back

Entire History of You is the episode that most people like that I'm kind of "meh" on. I like what they are going for, but I found the main character to be so obsessive and awful that he sort of deserves his fate. Most of the episodes tend to focus on technology, this focuses on how being a douchebag will make you miserable.

Which is true, but I'm kind of tired of that motif in TV. At least it gets to that conclusion faster than Mad Men.

What did you hate about the bottom three?

Waldo Moment is ham-fisted, National Anthem is an adolescent attempt to shock the viewer with nothing to say, and Shut Up and Dance is just unnecessarily cruel.

Yet realistic. That's the whole point of the crime. That just because you follow the directions of anon person with information on you. Doesn't mean that you will be set free. Even if it's just a kid jerking off in the privacy of his own room.

Wasn't he masturbating to child porn?

Was it really that? I thought thats what the anon was claiming it was. That way he would have to listen to their demands.

The final phone call from the mom mentions that it was children.

PLEASE NOTE that each episode is stand-alone and not connected to the others, so you can watch in any random order you wish. With that in mind DO.NOT. watch S1E1 first. It is one of the 2 worst episodes of the entire franchise, and is fundamentally different than the rest as well. I can't count how many people hear such great things about BM, sit down to give it a go, and are so let down by S1E1 that they quit.

Posters told me fhis before I watched, and I disagree on all counts.

San Junipero was good, but I figured out what was going on 15 minutes into it.

I think it's because it works so well on so many levels: visually, musically, has a cool retro vibe, and reaches an aesthetic crescendo at the end.

Guess the show is good at appealing to a wide audience

It's pretty interesting how there seems to be two general camps regarding rankings. People seem to be responding to the series on multiple levels.

It's also the only episode that isn't outright dystopian. It shows the future technology and its potential pluses and minuses, yet ultimately argues the positives outweigh the negatives.

I thought 'Be Right Back' was a perfect hour of cinema.

I'll never understand the hate for episode 1 of Black Mirror.

Also, I try to mention this every time a good Black Mirror thread is started. I highly recommend googling the series Utopia. It was created by many of the same writers of Black Mirror.
