Here's my question.
SPOILERS.........maybe
Did the theory that the name "James Bond" is a code name take a hit with the revelation of his parent's graves in the movie showing the last name Bond?
You could write it that MI6 changed the tombstones to wipe Bond's past as much as possible I guess.

Ya, Bond's name thing doesn't work either way for me but you got to suspend disbelief.
When you think about his tactics being so overt and destructive a codename is useless. On the other hand way too many villians have never heard of this guy ruin everybody's plots
