It looks like you have to have a paid subscription to read the original source, Production Weekly. They have a long listings of production which includes one titled "Psych".

I can't wait to see the gang back together. Hopefully, they'll throw in some of the characters from Monk as well since they referenced him in the season finale.
Sean and Gus verses Monk and Natalie over who can solve the crime first,
Only to have the crime somehow involve Ying, Yang, and the person who killed Monk's wife. Throw in a few favorite recurring characters like Deperoux and you've got one solid movie.

Nobody has found much success away from Psych, even show creator/writer Steve Franks got cancelled after 1 season with Rush Hour. That's another crime show built around the comedic chemistry of the leads. If you're going to do the same show over again just do Psych 2.0
