This is excellent advice for all of the BSG fanboys when confronted with someone who does not just blindly lap up the dark, gritty, new, hip milk. (<- See? Not serious.)

I'm not going to watch it. I don't want to. I will watch B5 or DS9 (again). I know that just chaps your hide, but it is what it is. (<- See? Not serious.)

With all due respect, frick you. You said if I watched it and didn't like it, it would taint my future comments forever. And if I won't watch it at all, it taints my future comments forever.

So, to please TigerMyth36, I both MUST watch it and MUST like it. Seriously, with all due respect, frick you, baw.

This kept me from watching the mini-series and the most of the first season when it aired. I got over myself and he should too. It was a wild fun ride even though I didn't like the ending as Freaux pointed out.
i loved the ending.

You should listen to TM, he has an open mind....

..... and never will forgive me for Babylon 5

But really his opinion is pretty solid. I'd a BSG cheerleader so don't listen to me. But help TM erase the memory of Bruce Boxleitner at his best.

No. We cool. I ain't even mad. However, I can, guilt-free, disregard HIS opinion on science fiction, though, armed with that bit of information.

TM Is good people.

Here's my seal of approval. I like both, new BSG more, but Babylon is a more complete novel with a better ending. Give 33 just one shot.

Pretty please.

It's BSG's Severed Dreams. The entire struggle of the show is reduced down to a single episode. Brilliant hour of television plain and simple.

But if I don't like it, y'all will think I prejudged it. You seriously don't think it is better that I continue to pass? Because I do. That's the way I'm leaning.

(In fact, I've emphatically decided to never watch the show - so even if I were to watch 33 and like it, it would be a waste of time. Mere appeasement to the tyranny of the BSG fanboys of the M/TV board, when you really think about it.)

shite, this isn't on Netflix anymore?

I watched the first 4 episodes a couple years ago and got to busy to continue. Is it worth downloading the entire 63 GB file on TPB?

so even though ign has this series rated as the #1 sci-fi show of all time, you won't watch it to spite the BSG fanboys on here?

At the risk of getting in the way of this pissing war I'll say this

If Ace is going to say this

quote:

I'm not going to watch it. I don't want to

Then I don't see how he can this

quote:

BSG? Just not for me.

or this

quote:

someone who does not just blindly lap up the dark, gritty, new, hip milk

You kind of painted yourself into that corner though. I mean it SEEMS like you've already judged BSG.

But if we all agree to shut up, will you watch it?

I understand your feeling. I didn't watch Titanic for like 16 years on the basis of principle alone.

Wait what? Why would you not watch the show if you actually like 33?

You could watch it and never tell us.

Once again, just an odd statement. To each his own, but some things are better left unknown by the board elders.

So even if you liked it you wouldn't watch the show. Why? You've prejudged the show and yet, you claim even if you watched it and liked it you wouldn't continue. Sorry, but I have a hard time grasping that. You are so unwilling to change a preconceived notion, you won't continue even if said preconceived notion is proven wrong.

I've had enough fun with this issue.

Back to discussing the awesome price for the series.

Because I already made the decision to pass? I'm a man of conviction, after all.

Terrible film. You weren't missing anything - seriously.

Probably not. Probably doesn't impact my decision, either way. I've taken the recommendations under advisement. Respectfully, I pass.

And I was just about to drop $100 on a limited edition poster of a favorite movie...

Then this came along. Just wtf.

If I did decide to tackle it, would it be worth watching chronologically? Caprica>BSG:B&C>BSG?
