Meh. Depends on what I like. "Remake" is an awfully broad term. I liked the Marky Mark Italian Job. I liked the Clooney/Pitt Ocean's 11. So, I'm not completely anti-"Remake" - but the odds go way down if I really liked the original product.
And when they go in such a different direction that - rather than an enhancement, it seems like it rejected a product I liked in favor of something more "dark and gritty" (BSG), or targeted at the mindless, ADHD millenials (so-called Star Trek from 2009 to present), I just have a tough time getting over all that.

Whoa, whoa, whoa - back the truck up. I do not constantly "shite" on BSG. It's just not for me. The BSG fanboys get up in arms and say, "BUT YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT" - hell, my old man (RIP) watched the new show and liked it - and he was a huge fan of the 70s show. I say, "No" and they all run and cry like little girls.
BSG has a solid reputation. I like Olmos - his first significant role was in my favorite film. It appears to have been very well done. It's just not for me.
So, please, please - for the love of G-d please stop saying I "shite" all over BSG. I do not.
I "shite" all over the Transformers series. I did watch the terrible, terrible, G-dawful so-called 2009, Abrams "Star Trek" film - and I "shite" all over that one because it was terrible. Not "Star Trek" at all, but yet another mindless action film in the key of "Star Trek" - with names and settings common to Star Trek, but nothing that made those shows and films so unique and special - but that's a topic for a different thread.
Insofar as the original thread said "Battlestar Galactica" and not the new, hip, dark, gritty "BSG" - I just wanted the old, small cadre of fans of the original series to have the option to look at what it sells for on Amazon as well.

No. For the last time - BSG is "dark and gritty" - so-called Star Trek (2009) et seq is LCD. It's a subtle difference, but an important one. See my previous post.

One episode. 40 minutes of your life. I really don't get it. There isn't very much good sci-fi out there and you have a whole series just waiting but you appear to be so obstinate you won't even try it.
