Hope they capture what made the books so special. Garth Ennis was on fricking fire when he wrote that shite.

Not sure AMC has the guts to go as far as this story needs to go to have the impact the books did.

That's the major concern. Would've loved for this to be on HBO.

I have a little more faith than y'all do in the channel that brought us Breaking Bad and Hell On Wheels, both of which were/are pretty hardcore.

(Please, please let me be right..... )

One of the good channels should do Transmetropolitan also.

I'm really intrigued by this, but I don't want to read about the comic and spoil the series for myself.

Without giving anything away, just let me say that if they hold true to the original books, there's going to be a lot of pissed off evangelical bible thumpers.

The religious controversy reasons are what's kept it from being made into a movie all these years.

I'm not gonna spoil it for you. But, its my favorite comic of all time. Perfect mix of religion, politics, sex, violence, true love... its also a road trip story; a love letter to America hidden in the text.

From that 13 second trailer, I saw Jesse falling out of a plane (War in the Sun?). Cassidy setting his hand on fire because he's in the sun. A bunch of people dying in a church (Genesis?). A crashed helicopter (the cops first encounter with the Saint of Killers?). I am super psyched for this.

I can't stand comics and all that bullshite Marvel stuff. But a guy at work convinced me to read that comic about 10 years ago. Been a fan since. I'm hoping AMC can catch the full essence of the comic too.

Just that 10 second clip is enough to give me hope.

Well the full trailer dropped, and revealed a few tidbits. Looks like they are straying from how the comic began significantly.

Jesse looks like a bad arse, which he should be. I didn't see the Saint of Killers, or Genesis. Though they'll probably wait until the show airs to show those two. I'm still very excited about this.

I am more interested to see how far AMC will allow the creators to go with Herr Starr.

I'm sure his special appetites between the sheets will be alluded to but not shown.
