Check out that MAESTERS threat for the most recent GOT episode. You have pages of people bitching about military strategy, absence of scouts, attacking supply mines, troop movements, etc.

In TFA, people were bitching about the feasibility (or lack thereof) of the Starkiller base, instead of just watching and appreciating the movie.

It's the same thing.

well that isn't the magic of movies...the magic of movies is something that looks real but it's not. you're not quite sure or you only know because it would be impossible to shoot

it's how the movie is put together, the script is written, the line delivered, the lighting, the blocking, everything all to make you feel a certain way.

if you know why it's successful in doing that, it doesn't cheapen it.

all that other stuff are inconsequential. the dark knight is filled with shite that if you stop for 2 seconds to think about it, it all falls apart, but it's edited in such a way that you don't.

I'd be shocked if KOTOR isn't made into a movie in the next 10 if not 5 years. It's a simple a sure fire slam dunk, especially from the disaster it seems we're going to be getting from Han Solo.

I would be shocked. Star Wars no longer belongs to Star Wars fans. It belongs to the mass throngs of casual movie goers.

KOTOR is a product for Star Wars fans steeped in lore from those old Tales of the Jedi Dark Horse comics that would be either too alien or too complex for the average movie goer.

Disney has too much low hanging fruit to consume before they start with KOTOR. They've got the obligator Han Solo, Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Darth Vader standalone films to get through plus about a million other ideas that would probably play better with your average movie goer than KOTOR.

A slightly more realistic yet still unlikely standalone movie would be a film based entirely on Rogue Squadron.

I have been clamoring for this for years. I don't get how a gritty look into the squadrons during campaigns doesn't blow everyone's minds. I'd start right after a New Hope and go from there. Plenty of people signing up to fly given the success of Luke, only to actually see what it's like.

You know what would have to happened in that movie.
