Spoiler alert:

so he seems to have taken care of business nicely at the end of the season. what do i have to look forward to for 6 more seasons (or whatever)? a new nemesis?

i have no idea where the show is going..but it seemed to tie up pretty nicely after 1 season.

Season 1 is awesome and one of the better seasons of TV for any show.

Next 3 seasons are pretty great as well.

Then stop watching and be content.

The general consensus is the 1st 4 seasons are awesome and then it starts gradually falling off. I'd have been happy with it ending after 6 seasons, but I don't regret watching all 8.

season 2 is better than 1
3 lags a bit
4 is the best of the series
5 lags a bit more
6 is pretty good
7 starts out strong but by the end of it you are just watching to see how it ends.

Perfect summary. Season 8 is a complete letdown. In hindsight though, it's the perfect show to binge watch.

4,1,5,2,3,6

I'm not listing 7. It's that bad and I'm still pissed off. Loved each season though some were certainly better than others.

when i did my ranking, i forgot about the actual season 7

8 started off good and ended very poorly.

i had no strong feelings either way about 7 except for the fact that i didn't care for the Hannah McKay character.

Overall, it's a good show. There is definitely nothing wrong with watching all seasons. But the series does decline after season 4.

The 4th season is one of the best in tv. I'll take the 4th season over any breaking bad season

1 and 2 are both very, very good TV. Great seasons. A lot of people don't care as much for 3, but I think it's very good as well. I'd put it just a tiny notch below 1 and 2. 4 is elite. One of the better seasons of any TV show I've ever watched.

From there it's a steady decline. 5 isn't bad, it's just not as good as 1-4. It's so-so. 6 had potential but really fell off from 5. It was average to below average. 7 went off the rails and was legitimately bad. 8 is almost hard to even put into words how shockingly bad it is. Nothing I could say about it would even approach the level of confusion and hatred deserving of it.

I know people say a lot of times in cases like this "stop watching after season [X]", and I always think to myself "if I've already invested that much time, I can't just stop. I'd have to keep going even if they told me not to". But I'm telling you, do not watch after season 5. To be honest I'd watch 1-4, read the wikipedia synopsis for 5, and call it a day. It's such a shame too because 1-4 were such outstanding TV, and the last few seasons were just so shockingly horrible.

I found Seasons 1 and 2 to stand up to just about any great series. I really loved the first two seasons a lot. Season 3 was a step backwards and season 4 got it back on track again. The rest is mostly miss after that. I have never been one to want to end a show in less than 7 seasons, but they should have ended it after 4.

Most people say to stop after 4, but the main storyline in 5 wasn't really all that bad. It kept my interest. None of the storylines in 6-8 interested me really.

Season 8 was so bad that I quit watching mid way and had watched the entire series. I've never given up that late on something before. I just read the re-caps and laughed.

If I had to do it over I wouldve stopped after 4.

All of the seasons kept my interest....but that doesn't mean they were compelling like the first 2 and season 4 was. There were some interesting things in Season 8 but that doesn't mean it should have happened.

You know if you haven't seen the show you would have no idea what that meant. It only becomes a spoiler when you point it out. arse.
