Not named West Wing.

I'm 2 episodes from being caught up on HOC.

Looking for something similar, politically centered if possible.

TIA

Billions has a similar feel to HOC in terms of chess moves on different sides, psychological manipulation, and husband/wife dynamics.
Especially the kinky shite. It becomes more political 2nd season, just nothing do to with the POTUS or White House in general.

Try the real HOC. It´s quicker, a lot more goes on in an episode.

tv, thats kinda hard. not alot of shows hit those notes in a political setting.

movies that are kinda similar that i like are Micheal Clayton and The Insider.

Costa-Gavras films like Z and Missing would be worth a watch.

I'm a fan of Designated Survivor. So far it's more about a terrorist conspiracy than actual politics but it is centered on the White House and DC.

Veep is political but nothing like HOCs

The thick of It is also nothing like HOC but is hilarious, if you like Veep, you'll like The Thick of It bc it's the same creators

Alpha House is pretty good. John Goodman and Clark Johnson are both outstanding.

The Ides of March was a pretty good flick

Wolf Hall for period politics

Mad Men, but it's more cultural than political

It's a unique show. Just watch the British version. There's not much similar to it. I'd say maybe Breaking Bad or Mad Men

In the Loop or the tv show The Thick of It. Loop is just a cut down version of the show.

Veep is essentially a US version of Thick of It.

As many have suggested, the British version of Cards is worth a watch. Some early plot points are the same but I don't think that will ruin the experience.

I know this probably isn't what you're looking for, but the King's Landing scenes in Game of Thrones have a surprisingly similar feeling.

Veep is the shite. Can't wait for a Splett presidency with Jonah Ryan as his VP
