Pet peeve about movie trailers

I love watching movie trailers. I really love watching them on the big screen in the theater. This, however, annoys me. When I go to the movies, and they show trailers for movies that are about to come out really soon. I went to see Sicario this past friday, and every trailer they showed were from movies coming out in October. Don't show me a trailer for a movie coming out in the next two weeks! Am I the only one who feels this way?
BTW, I really enjoyed Sicario. Benicio Del Toro was fantastic.

One of my favorite parts of going to the movies USED TO BE seeing trailers for a movie I had not yet seen or even heard of. Now I go and see trailers that have been playing on TV for weeks. I rarely see a trailer for a movie that I had not already seen before. Nothing gets me more amped up for a movie than seeing the trailer in the movie theater.

I feel the exact same way. Recently, it's like every trailer that comes up, as soon as it starts I immediately know what it is already. No surprises.

I miss red band trailers,, and the voice over guy. I haven't heard a voice over guy trailer in years.

I dont like comedies that put every good joke in the trailer
I dont like trailers that put a summarized plot outline in the trailer
Best trailers show little to nothing but create interest. Jokers TDK rant followed by his laugh with nothing more than a bat symbol and blue flames was pretty much perfect
TDKR did practically the opposite you knew every high point because of the trailer

My biggest complaint with recent movie trailers is that they show the whole goddamn movie. They show all the key scenes, so what's the point of even watching the movie?
A good trailer should pique your interest, give you an idea of what the show is about, but save all the meat for the actual showing.
I blame the studios for trying to attract eh ADHD generation who can't focus on someting for more than 2 seconds.
