Warning, he goes into great detail. It hasn't been confirmed that there was a "Mystery Movie" test screening in L.A.

Warning, he loves it pretty much from start to finish.

Well we all saw the trailer, so we have all pretty much seen it now.

Umm, that really sounds like ridiculous hyperbole. There is nothing in the trailers whatsoever that makes me think it will be even within sniffing distance of the Winter Soldier, not to mention the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, the X-Men films, and even Snyder's own Watchmen.

I doubt it is anywhere as good as he claims it is.

I've read it through, and it seems like mindless garbage that just throws everything it possibly can at the screen. None of the Justice Leaguers save for Batman and Wonder Woman are given any real context. They're just there. Seriously, what if this is my first superhero movie and I have no idea who these characters are? It's just garbage at that point. Yes, Marvel has won the rights just to shove Spider-Man in "Civil War", but just about all the other characters you have previous context. You just can't shove 20 characters on a screen with no context and expect people to keep up with it. Nothing what he said subsided my fears at all.

That's exactly what Fox has done with every X-Men film, usually to great success.

Whether it's real or fake I enjoyed reading that. Let's hope he's right and this movie rocks

Do they really? They're background for the most part and not characters we're supposed to have bonds with. The ones we're supposed to bond with they emphasize. They aren't going to give Blink or Darwin their own spin-offs. This one is doing so. X-Men does a very good job on building up their characters (save for Cyclops or anyone in X-Men Origins). It does not depend on me knowing who that character is before the start of the film.

The movie received a PG-13 rating back in September. This movie has been done for months.

The only characters with any backstory in the first X-Men film are Rogue and Magneto. Xavier, Cyclops, Jean, even Wolverine go through the film with zero backstory.

To that specific point I say, "who cares?" These are iconic characters that have permeated American culture for decades. Even those who may have never seen a comic book movie before (a number that has dwindled to minuscule percentages over the last twenty years) have an understanding of some of these characters.

Not saying the story or movie will be good, but I think this one point you're harping on here is misplaced in the context of these particular characters. None of these characters really need a backstory presented on screen.

I don't know all the JLers involved but if it's Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, and Aquaman then yeah, you can throw them all on screen and have your audience follow with little confusion. I wish more movies of preexisting properties would take that approach.

The same thing happened when man of steel came out. Some random person said it was the best superman movie ever and possibly movie of the year........both were huge lies.

Pretty sure BvS will suck.

Building up characters and giving the context does not necessarily mean "backstory". They just have to work within the film and the audience does not have to know beforehand who these characters are. All the X-Men characters work on their own terms in the first film (save Cyclops), and we've gotten plenty of damn backstory on all these characters. Just Green Lantern, Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg showing up at the end with little to no context to these characters is just ridiculous.

Not sure if the review is true or not, but a bunch of new superheroes showing up like the cavalry riding in to save the day sounds like something that comic fans have been clamoring for.

Just the appearance of an unexplained new character named Nick Fury in a post-credits scene was enough to ignite a million nerdgasms. Imagine the gasps if unannounced REAL superheroes popped up in a film like that.
