Since I started an amazon subscription of showtime I am going to start watching Penny Dreadful. Any opinions if it's worth committing to?

I absolutely adored season 1 but haven't seen season 2-3 yet. Will Rewatch the entire series soon. I did hear the show ending was kinda weird and didn't work

It's on Netflix. Glad someone said the first season is good. I've been wanting to watch for a long time

Yep looks like the first 2 seasons are there. 3rd is on showtime not sure when that will show up on Netflix

Nah the ending suited the series....there was resolution to many storylines.
However, they could have easily gone another season or two with some of the other storylines.
Great show though, worth a watch for the sets/cinematography/costumes alone.

It's good. My only complaint about the ending is it felt a little rushed and the show would've benefitted from one more season to flush some of the side stories out. There are some wonderfully acted episodes. Especially with Patti Lapone, Eva Green, and Rory Kinnear.

Amazon has a 7 day trial for showtime, you can squeeze the 3rd season in.
