Why?

Time magazine applied the term to event 2 years before Pearl Harbor, right when Germany invaded Poland.


And the term was so quick to be adopted because it originated decades before due an expected war due to social upheaval from dissatisfaction from the outcomes of the first.

It was WW1 that was retroactively named

Pearl Harbor is a masterpiece considering how bad films can get today.
