it's taken his death for many people to see that he was arguably the most charitable celebrity the last couple years.

he didnt raise money for some cause, he helped organize an entire network of first responders and got his hands dirty any time there was a disaster

I had always heard he was a great individual, but a man's personal life has no bearing on whether or not I think he is a crappy actor.

It's sad that he passed. He really was a great guy.

Bad things happen to good people.

The worst thing imaginable happened to a great person. Life is hard to understand sometimes.

at least it was while doing something he loved and not a drug overdose or suicide.

Some folks are just to good for this hard world. He was so nice when me and my family met him.

I was speaking more to the death rather than the method of death, but I get your point.

Met him in West Palm Beach a few years ago. Talked to me and my son for a good fifteen minutes about surfing and fishing. Just a cool dude.

Good story. Even though I probably wouldn't do it, I like that celebrities are approachable. Especially when they take time like that to have a conversation.

I think his death bothered more people than normal because he always just kinda acted like a normal, slightly more badass than usual, dude. People imagined Paul Walker was kind of like that in real life. His acting style wasn't terribly complicated. He just acted like he was having a good time and let people live vicariously through his chiseled bro-ness. I remember seeing ff in high school and thinking how badass I was in my mustang.

I've never realized how cool Paul Walker was until this thread...seems like a cool guy who did all the right things

Friend of mine knew him on a personal level for about 9 years. The last time he hung out with him they went dirt bike riding somewhere around Baton Rouge when he was filming the movie Hours several months ago.

He always said Paul was legit and down to earth and for a dude from California he had a lot of southern connections. Said he was all about the outdoors in Louisiana (hunting, fishing, etc).
