Worth seeing or not?

Yeah worth a matinee ticket. It's intense when they're fighting it out in Watertown and launching pressure cooker bombs at the police

it was an entertaining movie even though you know the story.

The wife and I liked it. Very entertaining even though you know the outcome.
Some parts I think may have turned out differently had it happened somewhere else, like TX or La. For instance, the scene in Waterbury when their in the shootout. Nobody living on that street came outside to see what was going on. In TX or La I could have easily seen a homeowner set up out of their window or front door and shoot both bombers. MA is pretty liberal though and I bet most of their population aren't gun owners.
Conversely though, here in Dallas, had the governor called for the entire city to shut down so they could catch these guys, I don't think many of the self absorbed Dallasites would have listened. In the movie you see highways and roads 100% empty. Here you'd have some blonde in her Mercedes heading to Niemans and not understanding why the order pertains to her too.

Just watched it yesterday. It was a good movie.
All I could think at the end is why hasn't anyone murdered that dudes wife yet? She knew and knows everything and refused to speak.

A guy did come out of his house to see what was going on. Threw the cop a hammer.

It seemed to be pretty factual but I have to imagine they amped up the explosions in Watertown. That crap looked like Fallujah in the movie.

I forgot about that. I was confused about that guy too b/c he called the cop "sarge". Wasn't sure if he knew them.
All those explosions though and one guy pops out to see what's going on? I'm assuming all of that was for dramatic effect and didn't actually happen.

Better than I expected. Honestly I remember this happening but never got too involved in the details, so I'm planning on going back and fact checking a few things. For instance was the city on actual lockdown? Did the shootout at the end really happen? Wasn't sure how accurate those parts were.

Went see it over the weekend. As others have mentioned it is good even though the outcome is known. Some intense moments which are probably amplified by the fact we were there for the race.
Don't be like the arse on our row that brought a cow bell to the movie to ring during the marathon portion of the movie.

Haven't seen Patriot's Day yet, but HBO has a pretty good documentary on it now. It is called Marathon: The Patriots Day Bombing. It is worth a watch.
It focuses mostly on the survivors and process of getting prosthetic legs, rehab, etc, but it has quite a bit of actual footage of the manhunt, shootings, lockdown, phone calls. The infrared footage of the bomber in the boat and police throwing flashbangs is crazy.

Yep. Good movie.
Goes too easy on the incompetent police/FBI, though.
