Parents: Mickey Mouse Club House weird phenomenon with the mouse ears

Ok this freaks me out. No matter which direction mickey is facing or which direction the camera view is from, his ears are always facing the toward the camera. They literally rotate on his head 360 degrees.

I think it's like that for cartoons as well. Maybe it's cheaper to do it like that?

they had an aerial view this morning with the same effect. It's obviously a conscious effort on their part. Quite weird
