You may have seen earlier things about the movie under the name "Granite Mountain".

This is about the deaths of 19 firefighters during the Yarnell Hill wildfire of 2013.

Also has Taylor Kitsch and Jennifer Connelly.

10/20 Update: Reviews look promising. Kinda crazy about the timing of this coming out with the CA wildfires.

I just thank the big man that Walberg and Pete Berg didn't get their hands on this script first.

Apparently all of the firefighters who died deployed their fire shelter but not every firefighter was found dead in his shelter.

Fire-shelters trap breathable air (most firefighters' deaths are from inhaling hot gases) so that firefighters can survive in non-burning areas surrounded by intense fire for more than an hour.

Jeff Bridges and Josh Brolin should just constantly play characters based in the West.

It just works so well

excited for this

Agreed.

If only they could have found a way to incorporate that funny steak house waitress from Hell or High Water into this movie, it would have been truly awesome.

these new "patriot" and "hero" movies are becoming the new comic book, earning nice box office numbers by capitalizing on the countless rah rah americans

Can’t wait for the Mark Wahlberg movie based on the Las Vegas shooting where Marky Mark drags his injured self up to the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel and single handedly kills the shooter.

I saw this today and was a good movie even knowing that would end poorly. Hard not to respect these men and the job they do more than you already did....
