I just finised watching on Netflix and this still confuses me. When Walt started working for Gus, he was told 3 million for 3 months and he and Jessie would split it. Then at one point, Skylar figures his yearly salary to be about 7.5 million. What did I miss with the increase?

They never directly said, but you just assumed that the sky blue wasn't keeping up with demand so they kept cooking more and more.

At one point in this season Walt said they were cooking 200lbs./week

The batches in the super lab yielded around 202-204lbs depending on how much Jesse skimmed.

When Walt pushed to get rid of Gale and bring in Jesse they sorta renegotiated, was in Gus's home. An open ended contract 15 Million a year. Gus rounded up.

There was a scene where Gus explicitly gave Walt a raise. Walt was afraid Gus would kill him at the end of three months so he met with Gus. Gus reassured Walt by making the agreement open ended and also gave him more money.

Yeah, I was thinking about money last night when I was watching the 9th episode in Season 4. Now, I havent ran the numbers nor do I care to, but they almost do not seem to add up. Walt paid for Hank's physical therapy, which was apparently pretty pricy. They bought the car wash at a little over $800,000. So, you have to figure over a million there. He bought Jr. a nice ride, then burned it. $1.1MM. It looks like, and please do not spoil this for me, Sky is going to bail Ted out of his mess at a price tag of $600,000. Pushing $2MM now.

So did Gus pay them the $3MM up front? I was under the impression it was paid per month. And maybe the time frame is a little longer than 3 months.

I dont know. Damn good show though. Cant wait to finish 4 in the next couple of days and catch up on 5.

Yeah, the meeting with Gus. I came away from that thinking that it was spread out over 12 months, no? Did they get a lump sum payment? If they received a payment up front, my questions are answered. I guess I assumed they got paid for their cooks or monthly.

Paid incrementally. 7.5 million was the figure per year.
