Any fellow OP fans check this out yet?
I was highly highly skeptical but I watched the first episode and thought it was pretty good for an anime adaptation which most are historically awful. I hear it gets better and better too.
Definitely some plot changes but I’m okay with it so far.

Its a series for some reason i thought it was just a movie where they do like the first arc in an hour an a half. that is what usually happens with live action animes and there is too much to squeeze in. Now i might give this a shot.

The 8 episodes covers the whole east blue. Like I said definitely some plot changes but I think they make sense for an adaptation. Nothing being unnecessarily left out, just shifting plot points earlier than expected.

Why do they have to ruin everything with this trans garbage? All these shows teaching kids to cut their nuts or boobs off. Terrible!

Didn’t the anime just air its 1,000th episode? I’m not familiar with the anime at all, but does this show have a realistic chance of finishing that story? Assuming it’s a lot of filler

Its over 1100 now and no chance. It's supposedly not trying to be exactly what the anime is.

I know zero of the anime, so I had no clue what to expect. Hearing how badly Cowboy Bebop was received, I fully expected this to be trash.
(again, no idea what to compare this to)
Does it stick to the source material? Don't know.
But so far, not bad.

It’s on episode 1074 I believe. The manga is on chapter 1091. The span of this season is only about 50 episodes of the anime so I don’t see them ever completing. Especially considering the manga still has several years (prob 5+) before wrapping up.
One piece has a lot of filler but not episode filler. Only about 100 filler episodes. If you google One Pace they take out all the filler scenes (unnecessary flashbacks, reaction shots, repeating frames, etc..) and it literally cuts out like 30% of the time

I disagree they are explicitly "LGBTQ" per western culture, but more "gender funny" Manga characters which are common in Japanese anime but they don't carry the political nonsense western LGBTQ representations do.
I have no issue with Japanese "gender bends" because they're often interesting and not overwhelming the main story arc or made the center of the story arc because of mafia groups like GLAAD that blackmail people within Hollywood.
