I'm talking about movies pre-1960.

Two that stand out for me are:

The Lost Weekend (1945) - The life of an alcoholic over a few days and how it affects himself and those around him. As pertinent today as it was then in the way that it addresses drug dependency.

The Best Years of our Lives (1946) - The stories of three WWII veterans returning from the war and trying to adjust to civilian life.

At least give an arbitrary cut-off date for what qualifies as "old".

Any movie worth a shite still holds up.

You're way better off trying to find old films that were beloved back in the day that DON'T hold up well.

Suspicion- Alfred Hitchcock directed this dark psychological thriller with a misleadingly light romantic veneer. Starring Joan Fontaine and Cary GrGrant

Jurassic Park. It still amazes me how a '93 movie is still ahead of the game in comparison to the CGI in some current movies. They did an incredible job.

GREAT choice. Never thought I would like a silent movie but after seeing it a few weeks ago it's in my top 4 all time.

Ummmm... You might want to check your facts before you go off spewing innaccurate movie dates.
