I haven't been able to read the thread yet, but what is the general consensus of this episode?

I found it pretty boring...well, at least half of it. I liked the Darryl parts well enough.

I think one reason I have been underwhelmed at times this season (despite it being solid overall) is because I don't care about some of the main cast as much as I just care about the group as a whole. So while they've been separated, I don't care about Morgan's shite, or Abe and Sasha's bullshite. Stuff like that. And the characters I do like, I have enjoyed their little spinoff episodes more than the others.

But ultimately, I just don't like when the group gets all spread out and then it takes the whole damn season (or half season) for them to get back together. Unfortunately, that happens a lot on this show and it's one of their go-to devices.

I thought it was pretty ridiculous that there is a military truck just chilling in the middle of a road with expensive cigars and fricking rockets on it and it hasn't been taken. I don't know how long it's been sitting there, but it seems like it's been a good while.

I'm interested to see how Darryl gets his crossbow back, and I wonder if the cries for help on the CB radio at the end have anything to do with that couple that took his shite.

the episode was decent. it's obviously setting up the rest of the season.

Daryl losing his crossbow is in my top 3 moments of being pissed off during this show.

this was me.

"frick! they're taking his crossbow. and he just got that damn bike!"

Most of us seem to think it was a decent idea that was poorly executed in many spots.

I really liked that episode.

Abe and Sasha's bullshite

Abe hasn't been as likable since he lost his mission. Sasha has always been a drag, she's lucky she's a good shot.

Agreed. They're really making us wait this long to find out what happened to Glenn? I often have liked the story telling where you have "real time" on different episodes telling of what the different side groups were doing, but they have taken it too far.

Most people think it was Glenn, but I agree with those that think it's the couple. They obviously are introducing us to next season's enemy with the new group, so either Daryl rescues them and gets the new enemy's attention that way, or the couple gets recaptured and tells them about Daryl's group. Fortunately Daryl didn't tell them much about Alexandria.

Surely he has to get that thing back though...sort of like Michonne and her sword a while back. He's had that thing since day one.

As dead as Jon Snow...maybe.

Will Glenn pay the iron price for helping Nicholas?

sorry guys, I know you've all noted my absence in the threads the last two weeks. Unfortunately a change in schedule will prevent me from watching live for at least the rest of this half season. Sorry to disappoint, but you'll just have to do without my hilarious live commentary.

no doubt he gets it back. I was just pissed that little douche was the one who took it from him.

s there any explanation for why those two turned on Daryl instead of going back to Alexandria with him, or is this just a 'nothing makes sense during a zombie apocalypse' moment?

Earlier in the episode the guy told Daryl that people will say anything to get an advantage in this world.

Later, Daryl told him basically that the whole world had gone to shite and there was nothing to have hope for...however he contradicts this once he is free by telling the guy there is a community that is still like it was (i.e. Alexandria).

Naturally, the guy thought Daryl was lying and the whole thing was a trap. That's why they took his bike.

Not sure what it could be foreshadowing either, unless you mean he somehow sacrifices himself?

Possibly. He may literally get crucified at some point. Maybe he pays, with his life, for someone else's sins. I don't know. I just find it hard to believe the pose was accidental or arbitrary.

I bet they use the fuel to draw the herd from Glenn.

I told my wife they were going to end up using that fuel to draw a large group of walkers away from something. Either Glenn or Alexandria.

I think the pose was more simply just foreshadowing the episode.

This show did have a divine intervention feel to it. They got side tracked due to something that didnt have anything to do with them. Then the walker fell and left the rpg behind (what in the world is a us soldier doing with a soviet rpg), then Daryl happened to find fuel truck.

Id call it divine intervention that they just happened to find the tools necessary to deal with the zombie horde back at Alexandria.

Lastly, the title was "always accountable". Darryl helped the people escape and was rewarded with what Alexandria needed to deal with the zombies.

No one mentioned the best interaction in the episode:

New people (about to drive off on Daryl's bike:"We're sorry"
Daryl: "You will be."

Or the fact that he was betrayed at the end - when they took his bike.

We already know what happened to Glenn. He was eaten by walkers. Just because the show doesn't display every tiny detail, it's simple enough to figure out. Surrounded by 100 walkers, walkers' hands on his neck, another human as well as several walkers on top of him (preventing him from moving), screaming bloody murder, no one nearby to help him. . . It's OK to infer the inevitable.

Dude, we get it, you think he's dead. You can't go a page without saying it. When he is saved, will you at least man up and incessantly post on every page that you were, indeed, wrong?

I'll probably incessantly post on every page about how ridiculous and unrealistic it is that he's still alive.

It's a show about zombies...freaking zombies! I don't think they are necessarily shooting for realistic.
