Shame that the actor didn't want to come back and do the show any more and kind of forced the outcome at the end. But damn did they have to make it so depressing.

I wish him well but I am feeling very selfish and

I must post though that I thought the Carson/Baby Sybil scene was the cutest thing ever. I also loved him getting flustered when Mary was in the hospital.

Yea it was a cute scene! I am glad I missed somebody posting spoilers in here. I woulda been so pissed. I was really expecting the chauffer to run off with the maid and take the baby with them for a season ending cliffhanger. Prefer that to mr. Crawley's ending

Mrs. Crawley absolutely knows the Doctor has the hots for her but doesn't want to entangle the relationship with a marriage at this stage in life. Marriage then was not just the romantic apex as it is now. She is quite the forward thinker and is perfectly in control of the relationship IMO.
Edith is actually becoming someone I want to win in life. I never thought I would overcome my season 1 opinions of her. I didn't like Mary in the first season until the end of it. I still miss Sybil. O'Brian's day is coming, I can feel it.

it sucks that someone spoiled the show for y'all. I saw that episode right after christmas and have check this thread periodically to see when it would air on US television. Who was it that posted the spoiler?
