Barney
Or the Red Power Ranger will now become the Brown Power Ranger.

I would like to see Samuel Jackson play the joker in a Batman movie.

I'm guessing Aquaman is safe

However when the creator of a character gives a pretty detailed description of what the character looks like, you stick as closely to it as you can.
They've had two blonde Bonds and none with the 3" scar on one cheek. Exactly one of the 7 actors to play Bond so far has been Scottish.

Thus why Elba wouldn't be Bond.
There's been plenty of other changes, why is skin color the sticking point?

If a black man plays Batman, can he still be called "The Dark Knight", or would that be toting the line?

Whoever thought that going from a little ginger kid to a black kid for this movie needs to be fired.
Oh and Denzel is the new equalizer.

And many of the guys who have played him haven't looked like the description.
There is nothing in the Bond character's essence that says he must be white.
(Cue "essence" joke)

Instead of strong British accent it'll be replaced with a strong Ebonic jive.

Unfortunately, the sponsors pulled from that television show.

And I didn't like either of them

And he was the best. There is a finite number of Scottish actors, so keeping him British is the most important. You would be fine with an American Bond? I wouldn't.
quote:For the most part, they have been very minor, but I still don't like some of the ones they did. I'm not a big fan of Craig as bond either, so this is more than just skin color. Completely changing the entire race of the character is a pretty major change, basically completely creating a new character. Would you want to see an Asian William Wallace?

Besides the two blondes, who hasn't looked like him (as close as possible)?

Besides the description of the character, definitely not.
