Norm lays everything out slowly and let's you figure out where he's going before he gets to the punchline. Then he says exactly what you're thinking which makes it even more funny.
I've watched that joke about 50 times and it still cracks me up. If you love that joke, you love Norm. If you don't like that joke, I don't think Norm is for you.

I've never liked Norm, but weirdly enough, that was pretty funny.
I didn't particularly enjoy the standup in the OP, but it was cool to see how touched he is my Letterman.
