We're thinking of hitting a movie late afternoon. If I go to an AMC theater, it's usually Elmwood or Clearview. But the W'ank may be easier from where I live Uptown. Is the crowd too creepy at the Westbank? Haven't been there in awhile (like years). TIA

Never had any thing close to an issue but most people on here are always looking for things to complain. Maybe I missed something most would have a problem with.

To be brutally honest, I think they're referring to and abundance of black people. Could be wrong.

I just don't want to wade through a crowd of wannabe G's (white, black, Latin or Vietnamese). It annoys me. Of course, Elmwood is pretty depressing to me.

I've never encountered a crowd of anybody there. Always seems like there's more cars in the parking lot than actual people there.

That's the problem everywhere. We're going late afternoon. Shouldn't be as bad.

Canal is way overpriced. Small screen, expensive parking, expensive small portions, already included tip.

Doesn't have what we were planning to see. Otherwise, I assure you I'd be there.

I saw The Blind Side there. Nice old school theater. Heard they play a lot of classics.

Been going for decades if it's playing something I want to see. The place has really been upgraded (sound, digital projection, etc) in the last few years.

Parking at canal place is only two or three bucks.

Or I can park at my local theater for free. Also, parking is based by the hour so if you see a LOTR style epic, it's more.

We need better movie theaters in the Nola area...a Grand Theater is being built in Kennah by Esplanade Mall but I doubt it will stay nice for long.
