You can say that for every actor mentioned in this thread.

Not if we're judging them using the cage method

I was somewhat surprised how few clunkers most of those listed had. Cage who obviously uses the grenade technique when script hunting is like 1:1 ratio

Nick Cage as rarified air sounds like satire.

FWIW I think JC is sold short for both his comedy as acting and for his more dramatic efforts. Jim Carrey's highs are probably comparable to Cage and his stinkers are comparable or better. Other than maybe Leaving Las Vegas I suppose... that's a special (depressing) movie... but Cage could never do some of the better comedies than JC can and I think that's worth something

Just put this in the Alien thread:

Can I take a moment here to praise the legacy of one Bill Paxton. He has been killed by an Alien, a Predator, and gotten beat up by a Terminator.

I love Robert Duvall. But you went back too far. 30 years puts the cut off around 1985. So you have to take off quite a few movies.

Also, the fact you left out "the Apostle" is just a sin. It is one of the greatest performances I've ever seen. Just a tremendous movie..
