The HBO series looks to follow the essential plot of the original with a fair amount of fidelity, although I’d wager we’re going to dig more into bigger ethical questions surrounding artificial intelligence, which has come a long way since 1973. Consider that a movement championed and backed by none other than Elon Musk exists to prevent AI from turning against its human creators.

As someone with absolutely no knowledge of the original and going strictly off of the trailer I've seen before other HBO shows, I'm excited about this. It may be better for me because I have no expectations.

I'm looking forward to this sooooo much. I loved Westworld when I was a kid. Yul Brynner was one of my favorites...after seeing the trailer, I'm amped for it.

Loved the original as a kid...must have seen it as a rerun on TV or something in the 70's. Just remember loving the idea that you could go some place where everyone was robots and you could do whatever you want. And when Yul Brenner went crazy that was awesome.
Of course, when I saw Terminator years later, all I kept thinking about was about Westworld and the robot that would just never stop.
Yep...can't wait for this one.

THis.
But all the worlds were great. I can't believe it's taken so long to do this.
And it should be the multiple worlds. The movie focused on the West...but the concept was broader...Middle Ages, Ancient Rome, etc.
You could do anything with this concept.

Will definitely watch.
Other than GoT I haven't watched any HBO shows in a while since most of their money has been going to it and the quality of everything else dropped down for a while...but this show looks promising

So...it's ...The Island, mixed with The Truman Show, mixed with The Matrix, mixed with Blade Runner, mixed with Inception, mixed with Total Recall, mixed with Tombstone............I'm in.
