Looks great. She was the best thing in the last season of Fargo.

Annihilation wasn't very good. Still point stands he's made some great stuff.

Devs was the fricking shite.

I really liked it, but it's definitely not for everyone.

I'm in

that trailer gave us a clearer tie in to the Green Man and how he will usher in her "rebirth" after her husband's suicide

I feel like this should have a happy ending, but the journey to get there is going to be wild

A24 is making quite a name for themselves in the horror movie market. Folk horror seems to be their thing. I'll go see this provided it doesn't turn out to be some woke "men are evil" bullshite.

I sincerely doubt that. Garland doesn't roll that way

well the trailers definitely hint at the Green Man mythos, which is all about the rebirth, it makes sense that it will be about her coming to grips with her husband's suicide and moving on with her new life (rebirth)

that's just my guess though

I knew this was going to be an A24 before I clicked on the trailer.

Was not disappointed.

I feel like this thread is going exactly like the teaser trailer thread went...including my questioning of the love for Alex Garland:
quote:

Garland has directed exactly two movies: Ex Machina and Annihilation. One was awesome, and the other I haven't seen but it looked horrible and got bad reviews (and was a box office flop).

Is this board a huge fan of his directing solely because of Ex Machina? Or does it include his writing too? Because I am reading up on him and I am a fan of some of the movies he's written (28 Days Later, Sunshine, and Dredd).

I liked all of those movies including annihilation.

I think Annihilation got a bad rap for the all female cast but there wasn’t any feminazism in it.

Yes it’s also because of his writing. I’ve read his books, all of which I enjoyed
